EVGA soon with AMD ?

EVGA soon with AMD ?

We have talked a lot here about EVGA and our frustration regarding the catastrophic distribution of the brand’s products in Europe and in France in particular. However, this does not prevent us from continuing to observe what the brand is doing. We knew that the link with Intel regarding motherboards was almost as strong (and exclusive) as the one with NVIDIA. However, things seem to be changing radically with a teaser that confirms the imminent arrival of a motherboard for AMD.

EVGA and AMD: a first

If many wanted to see a Dark based on X570S, nothing allows to exclude that this future AMD board is not a board dedicated to the next Threadripper. EVGA motherboards are largely elaborated by a small team composed notably of Vince LUCIDO aka Kingpin.

So we’ll wait and see what’s in store with this new “Dark”. If you want to get an idea, you can find the test of the Z390 Dark and get an idea of the philosophy behind the creation of these cards. This is a card that we have been using for almost two years for our tests. It is currently in our H24 configuration, humming perfectly even after several sessions under LN2. We also tested the EVGA X299 DARK model. Earlier this year, for CES 2021, EVGA presented its Dark motherboard based on the Intel Z590 chipset. Equipped with a 22-phase power stage cooled by a large copper heatsink, the look of the board cannot leave anyone indifferent. The motherboard is equipped with two memory slots, a configuration that limits this reference to an exclusive use just like the Asus APEX(test here of the Z590)…, unfortunately, unlike the latter, we are still waiting for the marketing of this Z590 DARK.
