Exceria Pro & G2: two series of M.2 SSD from Kioxia!

In the world of SSDs, we learn that the Kioxia brand was preparing two new series. These models are intended for PC gamers and content creators for whom “speed counts”. Here is the announcement of the Exceria Pro and Exceria G2.

Exceria Pro & G2: SSDs for gamers from Kioxia!

Kioxia Exceria Pro & G2Unfortunately, it is useless to look for the specifications, at the time of its announcement, the brand did not communicate them. We only know that these two series are made up of M.2 models in 2280 format. Similarly, we will have the right to a PCIe interface in all cases, however, the standard will change from one series to another. Thus, in the case of the Pro models, we will be in PCIe 4.0 x4 against PCIe 3.0 x4 in the case of G2. Similarly, the other point in common concerns the type of memory used by the brand. Both ranges use NAND Flash BiCS produced by Kioxia itself.

However, we do not have any data concerning the data rates of the different series. We only know, via our colleagueWe only know that the G2 series is expected to have a capacity of 2TB and a sequential read rate of more than 2GB/s. As for the pro range, we are in total limbo.

Anyway, we should know more about their speeds since these models will be present at the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference from July 30 to August 2. In the meantime, their launch is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
