FO48U: Aorus OLED display in 48″ with a frequency of 120 Hz!

After his screens FV43U and FI32UAorus announces a new monitor with the FO48U. This time, we are facing the biggest reference of the series, on the one hand in terms of size, but also in terms of quality of the panel. We’ll tell you more in a moment!

FO48U: OLED in 120 Hz for Aorus!

Aorus FO48U

With this new model, Gigabyte offers us a very large monitor for gaming. Indeed, this monitor has a diagonal of 48″ or ~120 cm, a format similar to that of a television. Especially since the slab will be of OLED type and will display a UHD resolution in 3840 x 2160.

Despite everything, we have here a reactive reference offering a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Ditto for the response time which is 1 ms gray to gray. However, no information is given about the MPRT. Let’s not forget to mention its FreeSync Premium compatibility.

In terms of colorimetry, this reference displays a coverage of 98% of the DCI-P3 space. In the sRGB spectrum, this monitor will cover 130% of this color range. You should also know that this is a 10-bit monitor that will offer a contrast ratio of 135000:1 and a brightness of 135 cd/m². Finally, the site Vesa indicates that it is a monitor certified HDR1000.

Finally, we finish with the onboard connectivity based on DisplayPort 1.4 DSC (x1) and two HDMI 2.1. Of course, we will also find a USB hub with two Type A 3.0 ports and a Type C. We will also have an audio part with two 15W speakers completed by a third 20W.

Once again, we have no indication of its selling price or its availability date.
