Gigabyte Aivia Osmium Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review

The software provided with the Osmium can be downloaded directly from the Gigabyte web site, as the keyboard is not supplied with a driver or software disk. The main software window allows us to configure the keyboard, visit the Aivia forum, and go directly to the Gigabyte website of check of an updated version of the software.

The profiles page allows us to save a custom action to one of the five macro keys provided at the top left hand side of the Osmium. To set an action on the key we simply click the empty space on the key and we are taken onto the next screen.

Here we can pick a basic action predefined in the software. These cover all types of basic functionality such as opening the email client, closing a program or opening the calculator application on our PC.

Software Software

If we don’t want to use one of the predefined actions we can record a custom macro. The macro engine provided with the GHOST software is excellent and allows us to record keyboard strokes, mouse points and positions.

Software Software

Finally in settings we can enable or disable difference profiles and cleanse the onboard memory if we so wish.
