Gladius III : the new Asus mouse available with or without a wire !

In addition to its Claymore 2 keyboard, Asus announced the arrival of a new mouse. The model in question is none other than the Gladius III which arrives in wired and wireless versions. A new version that keeps its socket system for the switches of its main clicks!

With this new model, Asus continues to offer a mouse for right-handed users with an asymmetrical design. We can also notice that the side buttons are present on the left side of the mouse.

The other particularity of this reference is that it comes in two versions: one wired and the other wireless. In this second case, the mouse has a battery that provides a battery life of 55 hours without lighting with a 2.4 GHz connection. In Bluetooth, this autonomy goes up to 89 hours, still without lighting.

On the other hand, the wired version has an ultra flexible paracord and an additional lighting zone. The wireless version loses the RGB on the knob, but it can be connected simultaneously to three different devices.

For the rest, the mouse has an optical sensor of 19 000 DPI that can go up to 26 000 DPI (software extrapolation?). Similarly, the latter will be able to withstand accelerations of up to 50 G and a maximum speed of 400 IPS. With this, it will be possible to save up to five profiles to comfortably switch from one game to another.

However, the big plus of this model lies in its socket system allowing to quickly replace the worn switches. Indeed, you just have to disassemble the Gladius shell and remove the switch, all without soldering! Moreover, with this version, we find a new system called Push-Fit compatible with Omron five-pin switches. By default, this model embeds gold-plated ROG micro-switches that can absorb up to 70 million clicks and require a force of +/- 5 g for activation.

Pricing and availability

Once again it is at LDLC that we will find this mouse on sale. For the price, it is displayed at 99,95 € for the wireless version vs 89,95 € for the wired version. Once again, the advertised prices are well respected.

This way to the Asus datasheet!
