GMMK Pro: Glorious announces new keyboard base

Glorious PC Gaming is a brand specialized in PC peripherals and more specifically, mice and keyboards. On this subject, you can find our Model O and Model O Wireless tests directly on the site. For the rest, the brand offers keyboards, with the GMMK. And in this field, a new reference is coming, the GMMK Pro, a model that can be customized in 75%!

GMMK Pro: a customizable keyboard in 75%!

Glorious GMMK Pro If you know anything about the brand’s keyboards, you surely know that these are customizable models. Indeed, with the GMMK (the first model), you could choose your format: 104 keys, TKL, or 60%, your switches and your keycaps. The whole thing arrived at home and all that was left to do was to assemble it, without soldering, thanks to a clever socket system.

With this Pro model, the brand uses the same principle, but with a 75% format. Thus, the keyboard retains its function keys (F something), the arrow pad and some navigation keys: page up, end, insert, etc.. In addition, we find a small wheel that will manage multimedia content. Moreover, via the brand’s software, it will be possible to go further by assigning other functions.

Example of a finished keyboard

In terms of materials, the brand offers something premium with an aluminum case taking advantage of CNC machining, the finish must be top notch! In terms of lighting, everything will go through the PCB since we find diodes in SMD. Same on the sides with two additional edgings. Finally, the stabilizers are already installed and pre-lubricated.

Finally, we arrive at the price of this base which is $70 in pre-order on the Glorious website. By the way, keep in mind that you will have to buy the switches and the keycaps to finish the assembly. Moreover, this allows you to offer a custom keyboard with switches that are not usually found like green or black, or even make a mix of switches. The same goes for the assembly, which will be simplified since there are no soldering joints. After that, you have to be willing to get your hands dirty and deal with the Ansi layout.

This way to the Glorious datasheet!
