Here are the first images of the RTX 3090

The first stolen pictures of an RTX Ampere have finally arrived… The first pictures would be those of an RTX 3090 (so the top of the range).

RTX 3090 pictures

If this leak is checks out (several sources seem to confirm it), we would find a lot of information already advanced on this board.

At the forefront of these: the design and the cooling system, one of the first leaks we had. Then, the huge size of this board confirmed by this picture where the RTX 3090 is compared to an RTX 2080Ti Founders.

This size would probably be explained by the problems encountered by Nvidia to cool this version of the RTX Ampere range. The board has a fan on each side. As a reminder, this important heating seems to be caused by the GDDR6X.

The card should have a 20-pin connector for its power supply and a 3-slot design. It seems obvious that the 3 slot clearance will be the bare minimum since the presence of a fan on each side will require additional clearance space.

Price also on the run

In addition to these images, several sources have announced the prices of the future range. There again it is advisable to be careful even if this information converges all. Indeed, until the last moment Nvidia can change the positioning. Then, the $/€ conversion is not an exact science on our market, especially since we have often seen specific prices for the European market.

Even if the leaker seems rather certain of its information, we put a flat on the positioning of the 3080; our current information would rather be on 1000 or even 1099€.
