i9-11900K and i7-11700K: big gains ahead?

i9-11900K and i7-11700K: big gains ahead?

Here are some more bench leaks on Intel’s Generation 11. This time the CPUs that have switched to Geekbench 5 are the Intel Core i9-11900K and Core i7-11700K (both 8-core processors from the Rocket Lake family). The benchmarks once again show significant performance gains in mono-threading. Both CPUs were tested with a Gigabyte Z490 AORUS for the 11900K and a Colorfull Z590M for the 11700K. The i9-11900K will be the reference that will be the most monitored. The processor operates at 3.5 GHz in base frequency, but as far as the boost is concerned, the processor will be able to go up to 5.2 GHz (on 1 core only). The maximum frequency maintained on all cores will be 4.8 GHz. However, with the Thermal Velocity Boost it will be possible to push the maximum clock frequency further. This should bring us to a maximum frequency of 5.3Ghz, making this i9 the first stock CPU capable of reaching this frequency. Wccftech was able to materialize both single-core and multi-core benchmarks. On the former, the i9-11900K obviously takes the leadership due to its frequency which can reach 5.3Ghz. The i7-11700K also performs very well. On the other hand, the game is much less simple on multi-core.
