In collaboration with ASRock, Razer announces a motherboard!

During the Razercon 2020, the snake manufacturer announced new equipment. Among the new features presented was a motherboard. A reference developed in collaboration with ASRock and surprise, it is a model with AMD CPUs. In short, here is the B550 Taichi Razer Edition!

B550 Taichi Razer Edition: the result of a collaboration with ASRock!

With this card, we find a version redesigned by Razer. This model abandons the gear patterns to give way to a more sober dress and the manufacturer’s markings. Moreover, the brand’s Chroma lighting is clearly highlighted with a reminder on the chipset radiator.

As far as features are concerned, we therefore expect to have something very similar, if not identical to the original B550 Taichi. From the outset, four reinforced PCIe x16s and two two PCIe x1s can already be seen. On the storage side, there are eight SATA IIIs and two M.2 ports.

Currently, there is talk of a card equipped with a B550 chipset, although the manufacturer also seems to be looking at X570’s. For the moment, Intel motherboards are not on the programme.

Now all that remains is to know the price of this model. Besides, one should not expect an affordable board. Indeed, ASRock’s original model can be bought for a little over 300€. It remains to be seen what influence the “razerification” will have on the price. On the other hand, no launch date has been set, although some are talking about a launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
