Intel confirms its new Tiger Lakes

Tiger Lake Refresh officially confirmed

As we mentioned a few days ago, Intel has confirmed during its keynote at Computex, Intel has announced two new low-power Tiger Lake Refresh processors: the Core i7-1195G7 and the Core i5-1155G7. Unsurprisingly from the previous information, the 1195G7 will be the first low-power processor to reach 5.0 GHz with a base clock of 2.9 GHz. The i5-1155G7, meanwhile, will feature a 2.5 GHz base clock and a 4.5 GHz boost. Tiger-Lake-Refresh Intel announced that laptops with these “refresh” Tiger Lake processors will start shipping next week, confirming that the CPUs were already in circulation with partners.

Intel leading on performance in ultra-laptops?

To get it right, the 1195G7 was compared to AMD Ryzen 7 5800U, which is the best low-power AMD processor today. Obviously, if Intel’s comparisons are reliable, the new CPU is now well above the pack. Tiger-Lake-i7-1195G7-2 According to the results, its new Core i7-1195G7 processor offers on average more than 25% more performance than AMD’s top-of-the-line low-power processor, the Ryzen 7 5800U. There were also some gaming comparisons mentioned, but the overall message is that the Tiger Lake-U is an ultra-polyvalent processor, which offers better performance in ultraportable form factors.
