Intel Core i5-760 and ECS P55H-AK Review

Intel Core i5-760 and ECS P55H-AK Review

Intel Core i5-760 Review

Memory Bandwidth (CPU/Motherboard)

SiSoft Sandra allows us to see how each board performs in a set of synthetic tests which ensure repeatable comparisons across a wide range of products.

Both the Phenom and Core i5 feature memory controllers within the CPU and each have a dual channel design. Intels architecture provides better performance in terms of memory bandwidth though and offers an additional 3GB/s on top of the AMD performance.

Looking at the comparison between the P55H-AK and another P55 board with similar features we find that the ECS board is able to give us the edge in bandwidth tests, 0.1GB/s ahead of the competition.
