Intel: Rocket Lake stocks also impacted by the crisis?

AMD and Nvidia wouldn’t be the only ones affected by inventory issues, even Intel seems to be having supply issues.

Stocks down for the next quarter?

Intel Rocket Lake-s

It’s not news to anyone anymore, the lack of production and inventory is impacting all companies. Nvidia and AMD relying on foundries like Samsung and TSMC, have to make do with what they have, since these 2 companies have big customers, like Apple for TSMC or simply Samsung with their own phones.

But the situation is not the same on the side of the blue, thus having their own factory and controlling the entire manufacturing chain, the situation is currently very good for the Comet Lake generation, available in quantity.

This situation, however, would not be reproduced for the freshly launched Rocket LakeWhile current stocks are sufficiently large, the next six months should see insufficient production to keep up with demand.

According to wccftech Intel will also be affected by the shortage, because of a lack of substrate (wafer), the family of core i5 and i7 family would become more difficult to find, while the majority of production would be destined to the core i9.

Intel in a better position than AMD?

Although Intel should face a wafer shortage , the situation should be much better than the competition, especially AMD, as mentioned at the beginning. Indeed, Intel has its own factory, allowing to better manage the situation, which could improve at the end of the year if the blues take the necessary measures.

This certain advantage of having their own factory, allows Intel to offer their processors cheaper than AMD in some cases, as with the 11400F between 189-199 €, with excellent value for money compared to the 5600X approaching 400 € offering similar performance.
