KFC console, the (bad) end of year joke?

KFC console, the (bad) end of year joke?

To end this particularly difficult year, the announcement of this KFC console will at least have the merit of relaxing us a little. There have already been some “rumors” about the upcoming arrival of a console pushed by the chicken giant. However, here is now the official announcement of this new concept, revolutionary since it combines 4K gaming and cooking chamber for fried chicken. KFC Console

KFC has partnered with Cooler Master, Intel, ASUS and Seagate to create a new gaming PC enclosed in a bucket-shaped NUC-derived chassis. Once our tears of laughter have dried, having also seen some prominent members of the hardware press take this information seriously, one can still wonder what the point of this story is?

To create a buzz at the end of the year when those who are looking for equipment are still in the tension (or even anger) of break-ups and unavailability? We would have preferred this style exercise to the 1st of April. We might have received it better. Mocking new generation consoles by promising 240Hz or mocking junk food gamers screwed in front of their H24 games: VR READY Get up and enjoy the world of virtual reality while the smell of fresh chicken captures your senses This is an idea that could have made us smile, but, well, the authors of this communication are probably too witty.

KFC Console

In short, a small moment of relaxation that is good for us but which still gives the impression that we are making fun of our community. It’s also not obvious that the second (see third) degree of this communication really brings something to the “partner” brands of this farce: Intel in the first place… We hope that this “project” is only the result of a bad night and that it will not go any further…At home it didn’t make everyone laugh, the hardware community deserves better.
