Lynx: the new Glorious PC Gaming Race switches!

Lynx: the new Glorious PC Gaming Race switches!

Glorious PC Gaming Race is a brand that we particularly appreciate thanks to its mice. In fact, you can find our tests of the Model O and Model O Wireless here and here. In short, the brand announces new switches for its keyboards (and not only). Indeed, the Lynx switches are now part of the game!

Lynx: new lubricated and non-lubricated linear switches!

Glorious PC Gaming Race LynxWith these new switches, Glorious offers a new linear switch. This means that the descent will be straight, without any stop or other tactile feeling, or even audible click. On the other hand, it is a rather hard switch since it still requires 60g for activation. Roughly speaking, this is the same force that is required for the MX Black from Cherry.

For this new switch, the brand uses qualitative materials. We find turquoise polycarbonate for the upper frame. The lower part is made of nylon from Belgium while the plunger (which acts as a keycap holder) is made of POM. The spring is nickel plated and according to the brand, it comes from Korea while the contactor, made of high quality copper, is from Japan.

Finally, the small particularity of this model is to be proposed for sale with or without pre-lubrication. The goal behind this is to limit friction as much as possible, which reduces noise and improves the comfort of typing.

You should also know that these Lynx switches are compatible with all GMMK keyboards. Similarly, they will be compatible with RGB diodes type SMD. However, given the non-transparent frame, the RGB may be attenuated.

We end with the price. On this subject, Glorious offers them by box of 36 at $24.99 without lubrication. This price goes up to $34.99 if you choose them pre-lubricated.
