M65 RGB Ultra: Corsair launches the next generation M65!

M65 RGB Ultra: Corsair launches the next generation M65!

The M65 is one of Corsair’s flagship mice, and this model regularly receives a small update. Last time, we had the right to the RGB Elite version, in 2019. Today, the brand offers us its M65 RGB Ultra, but what changes? We tell you everything.

M65 RGB Ultra: we start with the wired version!

Visually speaking, we are indeed dealing with an M65, this model taking up the characteristic shapes of the series. However, we notice some changes in the coatings which have a triangular pattern. Similarly, the clicks are now separated from the rest of the shell and they should be well pressed on the switch.

Otherwise, the sniper button is still present and will aim to reduce the DPI of the mouse while it is pressed. The goal is simple: to gain precision. Otherwise, the weight system is still present and can be adjusted from 97g to 115g. Even at its lightest, this is not a mouse that can be called light, on the contrary.

In the end, the biggest changes are internal. This mouse features Corsair’s latest Marksman sensor that can go up to 28k DPI. It will handle 50G accelerations while offering a tracking speed of 650 IPS. In the same vein, if Corsair opts for Omron micro-switches, they are of the optical type.

But we have the right to a wireless version!

Corsair M65 RGB Ultra WirelessWith this, Corsair offers us another variation of its mouse, but wireless. This one obviously keeps the shape and characteristics of the wired model. Nevertheless, due to the presence of a battery, the weight is increased: from 110g to 128g.

As for the connection, we have the right to 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth. Via the Slipstream technology of the brand, the latency will be less than 1 ms. Moreover, on the battery side, Corsair announces up to 120 hours of autonomy, but does not specify whether this is with or without RGB.

Price and availability

In terms of availability, whether it’s the wired or wireless model, both variations are available for sale. As for the price, it stings since it is 79.99 € for the wired against 129.99 € for the wireless. In short, a price that goes up little by little since the RGB Elite model was around 70€.
