Matrexx 40 3FS: three RGB fans and mesh front panel for 45€!

Matrexx 40 3FS: three RGB fans and mesh front panel for 45€!

Come on, let’s go to DeepCool which announces the arrival of a new case. The model in question is none other than the Matrexx 40 3FS. It is a mini-tower case, intended for micro-ATX motherboards for example. Moreover, as we will see, it has a lot of similarities with the Macube 110 that we tested here.

Matrexx 40 3FS: a small case with mesh front panel and three RGB fans!

DeepCool Matrexx 40 3FS

We start with the dimensions of this model which are 215 (W) x 400 (D) x 431 (H) mm. For the weight, we are at 5.52 kg on the scale, which is justified by the presence of steel, tempered glass and ABS. Basically, we have a case with similar dimensions to the Macube 110.

Internally, we will have room for a motherboard in micro-ATX and mini-ITX format. And that’s the whole point of the brand: to offer a new compact reference. Moreover, we won’t have to worry about CPU cooling. This small case is 165 mm high for a CPU cooling unit. The same goes for the graphics card with 320 mm in length and 160 mm for the power supply.

As far as storage is concerned, DeepCool provides two 2.5″ slots for SSDs for example. For larger hard drives, we have a removable HDD cage offering two 3.5″ slots.

Moreover, it is at the level of cooling that this model pulls its pin from the game. Indeed, this Matrexx 40 3FS comes with three RGB mills: 2x at the front, 1x at the back. It can also accommodate a third 120mm fan in the front and two others in the top. Nevertheless, for watercooling, we will be limited to 280 mm radiators at the front and at the top. In the meantime, we will have enough to install a Castle 280EX without worries.

Finally, we have a case sharing the same chassis as the Macube 110. If the ventilation is better equipped from the start, however, we lose the GPU support. But the whole should breathe better thanks to its mesh front!

Finally, we end by mentioning the very attractive price of 44.90€! A new model that should have no trouble to impose itself in the world of micro-ATX cases. Finally, you should know that the availability will be effective during April!
