We are using the 1.2.1 version of Crysis for this test and each run was performed using high settings with no anti-aliasing and 16x Anisotropic filtering.

In a game like Crysis we really see the difference between the cheaper 9600 and 3800 cards compared to the 8800 models. The Zotac 8800 GT performs very well overall with only two drops below twenty-five frames per second, the Gainward 8800 performs the same although with higher minimum fps. The 9600s would require a reduction in game settings to get anywhere near complete smoothness and unfortunately significant changes would be required for the Radeon’s.
