More Big Navi maps coming up?

Several media have been panicking in the last few hours thinking they’ve discovered a new AMD card above the 6900XT…In reality, a new Big Navi GPU reference is not synonymous with the arrival of a new card.

Rumor of the day: another big Big Navi?

New variants of the Navi 21 GPU may have just appeared on the USB Implementers Forums website. We will say “maybe” because there is no confirmation that the GPU listed on the website refers to Navi 21 or Navi 22. Big Navi XL-XT-XTX-XTH The Navi 21 XTX variant is already used by the Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card. The variant that appears in this document may end up in the end, but this does not mean that it will be a higher performance variant. It is therefore not at all clear whether the XTXH variant is a GPU model capable of outperforming the current 6900XT or whether this card will simply be a non-XT version…or whether it will result in NOTHING. So don’t get carried away at the moment.

AMD’s response to the RTX 3080Ti? Unlikely…

Obviously, we would all like AMD to offer a potential response to NVIDIA‘s upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card. This reference could be a lead, but it should be made clear that this is just speculation. Other options suggest that such a GPU would be part of the consumer notebook range, just as Renoir uses the “H” declination. We wanted to tell you about this interesting rumor but it would be difficult to fill in a full page because you have to be honest enough to say you don’t know anything 🙂 . Of course, we will follow with attention and greed the releases of AMD during the CES with the hope that the GPU war will intensify a little bit more. For the moment only the 6700 and 6700XT are expected.
