More info on the RTX 3070 Ti

According to the latest information

, the current RTX 3070 should gradually disappear during May to be replaced by a more powerful model and designed to limit its mining capabilities. In order to better cover the market, this possible 3070 Ti could come out in 8GB and 16GB. For this new card (we are not sure whether it will be named 3070 Ti or S), the GPU used would be the GA104-400-A1. We would then have two Vram configurations: the most basic would have 8 GB of VRAM and the most advanced would be equipped with 16 GB. Both configurations would use GDDR6X memory chips manufactured by Micron and clocked at 19 GHz.

Towards the end of life of the current 3070 and 3080?

This new information reinforces some speculations that these two new references could be announced at the same time as the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti. We recently talked about a similar logic regarding the replacement of the GeForce RTX 3080 with a possible 3080 Ti / Super. Even if this information meets a semblance of logic, we will remain cautious about the information mentioned here. The repetition of rumors is no longer a guarantee of reliability in these times. However, with the manufacturers, we notice a more and more important tension on the 3080 but paradoxically a certain “relaxation” on the 3070…

Here is a small projection of what could be these new references in comparison with the current cards:
