NDA RTX 3080: 16/09 and RTX 3070: 15/10

As you all look forward to reading the first tests of the RTX 3080, originally scheduled for Monday, September 14, NVIDIA has warned reporters of a delay in publication. Indeed, the release of the tests, and thus the end of the NDA, has been moved to Wednesday, September 16. This is one day before the official launch of the RTX 3080 and its availability in stores or on NVIDIA’s website for the Founders Edition models.

Report NDA Nvidia RTX 3080

The reason for this delay could be due to Covid. This latter would have had repercussions on the deliveries of the samples as well as on the organization of the tests. In any case, you will have to form your opinion in less than 24 hours to know if you want to invest in this card, in view of the low availability expected. For the Founders Edition models, it seems that it is the new cooling system that delays the design and explains the low number of cards at launch.

NVIDIA also informs us that its RTX 3070, scheduled for October, will be available on October 15th. According to our information, samples of the RTX 3090 seem to be even less numerous, but the date of September 24th is still maintained at the moment.
In the meantime, you can always check out our file about the Ampere architecture.
