Noctua NH-P1 : 1.5Kg of silence

Almost two years after being announced ( Computex 2019), Noctua’s massive passive heat sink, the NH-P1, looks ready for an imminent launch. Noctua-NH-P1 To manage to offer a totally passive product while during these two years the TDPs have not really been on a diet, the recipe is relatively simple. It is clearly necessary to massify the fins and the heat pipes. And on this point Noctua has done things in a big way since there are 13 thick aluminum fins crossed by six 6 mm copper heat pipes. This pretty baby weighs 1.5Kg on the scale! The monster is nevertheless cut to be as versatile as possible. It has a claimed 100% compatibility with all RAM on AMD AM4 and Intel LGA1200/115x. Its “SecuFirm2+” mounting system allows it to be installed on most platforms for Intel LGA115x (LGA1150, LGA1151, LGA1155, LGA1156), LGA1200, LGA20xx (LGA2066, LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3) & AMD AM4, AM3(+), AM2(+), FM2(+), FM1 Noctua claims efficiency with CPUs like Intel 9900K, 9700K or AMD Ryzen 2700X, 3950X 3700X and of course their current replacements.

Information from Fanlesstech

For even better performance or semi-passive configurations that only run their fans when needed, the NH-P1 can be equipped with an ultra-quiet 120mm low speed fan such as the NF-A12x25 LS-PWM. As a final note, while the NH-P1 offers top performance for a passive cooler, it is not suitable for overclocking or processors that create high thermal loads…
