Nvidia: all the features of the RTX 3000 mobile

Expected to be unveiled in a few days at CES 2021, the mobile versions of the Nvidia RTX 3000 reveal their features.

Performances of 3070 on laptop

As the ESC approaches, information is beginning to be leaked or leaked about Nvidia’s new mobile range of graphics cards. There should be a host of announcements from Nvidia but also from brands during the conference on January 12th and in the hours that follow. In advance of this, notebookcheck has started to update its database to include the new GeForce mobiles and their features. All the information has been taken over by videocardz in the form of a very practical summary table. RTX 30 mobile Currently, the mobile range would be composed of 3 cards :

  • The 3080 mobile we have already mentioned here, based on the GA104 chip equipping the 3070 desktop, but with all the cuda core activated ( 6144 ). This card would be equipped with 8 or 16 Gb of GDDR6 and declined in 2 versions, Max-P going from 115W to 150W and Max-Q going from 80 to 90W.
  • The 3070 mobile, also based on the GA104 chip, but using only 5120 cuda core, placing it just above a 3060 Ti. This card will be equipped with 8GB only. Here too we should have Max-P versions from 115W to 150W and Max-Q versions from 80W to 90W.
  • The 3060 mobile should be based on the GA106 with 3072 cuda core. This card will be equipped with 6 GB only and a Max-P version from 80W to 115W and Max-Q from 60W to 70W.

AMD able to titillate Nvidia on laptops ?

While on the side of Nvidia, we seem to be heading towards a mobile top of the range capable of bringing the equivalent of a 3070 in terms of performance, AMD would have another logic A priori, the reds would launch their Navi 21 mobile with a TDP equivalent to 150W. A figure much higher than what Nvidia announces on its RTX 30 models. Of course, no precise information is currently available on this mobile version. The rest of the AMD range on portable PCs could be articulated as follows: AMD Big Navi mobile There is therefore only one week left before having the confirmations on Nvidia’s and AMD‘s new products.
