In our first gaming test we set Counter Strike Source to its lowest detail level and recorded the framerates to check if the memory used on our test system had any impact on performance. As shown in the graph when run at 1800MHz, DDR3 timings have no effect on source engine games running at low detail. Moving to more demanding tests in the form of Lost Planet and World in Conflict we see that as the system is pushed harder the memory timings do have an impact on performance with the CAS 7 modules performing slightly better than our CAS 8 sticks.
