Odyssey X: a Lian Li case with a watercooling focus!

Odyssey X: a Lian Li case with a watercooling focus!

Back on the case side where we find the Odyssey X from Lian Li, a new and original reference. With this new model, the brand clearly emphasizes on the custom watercooling as well as on the possibility to orientate the case as we want. We tell you more!

Odyssey X: one case, many possible setups!

Lian Li Odyssey X

With this new case, Lian Li offers us something really imposing with dimensions of 234 (W) x 575.7 (D) x 558.5 (H) mm. However, it will be possible to change its orientation to 368.6 (W) x 537.1 (D) x 596.7 (H) mm. The weight, better not to think too much about it in view of the size and materials used: tempered glass of 4 mm, steel and aluminum.

Otherwise, internally, we can install large motherboards. These can be up to EEB size. However, more compact models can be installed without any problems. The same goes for the rest of the components, where there are no real limitations. Here, 423 mm GPUs will fit, as well as 170 mm high CPU fans. On the power supply side, no restrictions with 280 mm depth.

The storage part includes three 2.5″/3.5″ compatible boards and that’s it. On the other hand, with the democratization of M.2… It is difficult to ask for more.

Several possible orientations

Lian Li Odyssey X

However, what characterizes this model is its ability to be oriented in all directions. Basically, we have the Dynamic and Dynamic-R configuration with a motherboard tray oriented at 90°. Finally, we end with the Performance mode.

Of course, depending on the orientation, there will be more or less space for watercooling. The Dynamic-R and Performance modes seem to be the most suitable with the possibility of integrating a 480 mm and 420 mm radiator. Especially since for this exercise, you have a plate for the installation of the pump / tank.

The price that stings!

In short, you will have understood, we are dealing with a very high-end model with several possible configurations. The materials are noble and this model is very focused on custom watercooling. This explains its $499 price tag, outch! As for the availability, pre-orders are already open, but we have no idea of the arrival dates!
