Optix MEG381CQR: an MSI monitor with a built-in mini-screen!

MSI is definitely very active at the moment and the announcements follow one another. After talking about GPUs, mini-PCs, etc., this time it’s the turn of the monitors. The brand announces its Optix MEG381CQR, the first HMI monitor for gamers!

Optix MEG381CQR: two screens in one!

MSI Optix MEG381CQRIf you like large screens, this reference is probably made for you. Indeed, MSI offers us a 38″ model with a slightly curved IPS panel. Indeed, the latter displays a curvature of 2300R and a UWQHD+ resolution, that is to say 3840 x 1600, a 21:9 format.

However, MSI offers us something reactive, very reactive even since we find a frequency of 175 Hz. The same goes for the very low latency: 1 ms. Moreover, we can count on the NVIDIA G-Sync Ultimate compatibility as a synchronization technology.

For the moment, the contrast or the coverage of the different color spaces does not seem to us specified. Nevertheless, we know that this model benefits from a VESA HDR600 certification.

Finally, MSI boasts of offering the first HMI monitor on the market. This is summarized in the presence of a small additional display present in the lower left corner of the MEG381CQR. This will allow you to display different information: frequencies, component temperatures, etc. We finish quickly by talking about the RGB lighting present both on the front and rear of the screen. This lighting is also compatible with the GamaSense from SteelSeries.

Unfortunately, the selling price is not yet known, but like many monitors, it should seriously sting given its features.
