Radeon RX 6700 XT: an even more accurate notification

The precise figures of a big test of the Sapphire RX 6700 XT NITRO+ have been published in the last few hours from a leak on Bilibili. This test is based on 3DMark and therefore allows us to situate the RX 6700XT in relation to the competition.

To have a complete view Videocardz used data from a test published by Wccftech. The platform used is also equipped with the AMD Ryzen 9 5900X processor, the same processor used by the leaker on Bilibili. The review actually covers the RX 6800 XT NITRO + and the AMD reference design, which is a great opportunity to see how much faster the custom models are. We also have the RTX 3080/3070 and a 5700XT.

From the findings on several cards, the following can be learned:

  • The RX 6800 XT NITRO is 52% faster than the RX 6700 XT NITRO +. What may be interesting is that the RX 6800 XT has 80% more cores than the RX 6700 XT (4608 vs 2560).
  • In opposition to the RTX 3070, the leak tells us that the RX 6700 XT will be better than the RTX 3070 in DX11 benchmarks by about 5%. However, it has a hard time competing with the NVIDIA card in DX12 and obviously on raytracing based benchmarks.
  • At this point it is hard to say what the real difference is between a 6700XT Nitro plus and an AMD 6700XT reference card.
