Rival 5: an ambidextrous gaming mouse from Steelseries!

It’s been a while since we last talked about mice… Well, the last time we did, it was about the new Roccat Kone

, so it wasn’t that long ago… Anyway, all this to say that Steelseries is launching a new mouse with its Rival 5. A model with an ambidextrous shape that will not be satisfied with a single playing style!

Rival 5 : an ambidextrous multigame mouse !

Steelseries Rival 5 Versatile With this reference, Steelseries offers us a gaming mouse with an ambidextrous shape. However, the placement of the buttons favors right-handed users since they are located… On the left side. In fact, there are five of them and they will be mapped differently depending on the game you play. Whether it’s World of Warcraft, CS:GO, League of Legend, etc. we have different functions assigned to each of these games. That’s the famous multi-game aspect that the brand puts forward.

As for the technology, we know that it contains a PixArt TrueMove Air sensor. This one has a maximum sensitivity of 18,000 DPI and can withstand accelerations of 40 G. Otherwise, like any good mouse, we have a polling rate of 1000 Hz and gold-plated switches certified IP54 resistant to 80 million activations.

We quickly finish by mentioning the presence of an ultra flexible cord or a weight of 85g. Of course, a bright light is present via 10 zones that can be controlled via the brand’s software.

Finally, we end with the price which is 69,90€ on the Steelseries website.

Here is the technical data sheet from Steelseries!
