RTX 3060 OC Dual: another compact card for Asus!

After having announced a particularly compact Phoenix model, Asus is now offering an RTX 3060 OC Dual. We are talking about a model with two fans that is not much more bulky. Nevertheless, this time we can count on factory overclocking!

With its new card, Asus offers us a solution that is a little more bulky than its Phoenix model. Indeed, the card goes from 17.7 cm in length to 20 cm. All this is directly linked to the addition of a second fan. On the other hand, the card offers a strict two slot footprint, finally cards of “normal” sizes.

As we said, the heatsink now has two fans on board, hence the “Dual” in the reference. The latter are of the Axial-Tech type, which can be found on more high-end cards. Moreover, as long as the temperature of the GPU does not exceed 50°C, these fans will be switched off.

In short, with this stronger cooling system, we can consider overclocking more serenely. Moreover, Asus pushes a little the factory frequencies: 1837 MHz in boost. As a reminder, a reference RTX 3060 runs at 1777 MHz, a small gain of 60 MHz. Next to that, the frequency of the 12 GB of memory remains unchanged: 15 Gbps.

Finally, there are the classic three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and a single HDMI 2.1. On the power supply side, a single 8-pin PCIe will be necessary.
