OCC_FrTeam November 17, 2020 News The next (and last?) card to be presented by Nvidia this year will be the RTX 3060Ti. This last one should still contribute to lower the average price of this new range and maybe allow, at the end of the race, to build more reasonably priced PCs for this end of year. A more accessible and more available card? The GeForce RTX 3060Ti should use 4864 CUDA cores (compared to 3027 CUDA Turing cores in the GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER). It could therefore deliver a performance of 16.2 TFLOP at 1665 MHz (compared to 11.15 TFLOP). On the Vram side, it is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR6 @ 14 GHz memory which, combined with a 256-bit memory interface, gives us a bandwidth of 448 GB/s (compared to 497 GB/s) with a consumption of 180W (compared to 250W for the 2080S). According to our information, the card is expected to be priced at 399€ but again, we’re betting that we’ll have a strong increase on the customs models. The question of availability will once again be at the heart of the concerns of potential buyers. Even if the situation remains very problematic, a certain easing has been noted over the last few days, notably on the RTX 3070 where stocks seem to be arriving much more regularly. RTX 3060Ti: the right choice for the 1080 and 1440P? Official performance announcements have been leaked with the comparison given by Nvidia between the latest 3060Ti, a 2060 Super and the 2080 Super. The 3060Ti would be ahead in almost all situations in 1440P. Finally, with an announced 180W TDP, this card should be a really interesting upgrade choice for those who have missed out on the first generation RTX and want a card that is accessible without changing the rest of their PC. At the beginning of December at least, we will give you our test on this map, which seems to be the right choice for the end of 2020. Share On
