RTX 3070: back to normal?

RTX 3070: back to normal?

The RTX 3070 is the card that has benefited from the best supply in recent weeks.

We have all been talking enough about the disruptions that are hitting the market and especially the graphics cards. Nvidia has been strongly affected and mocked no doubt because he minimized and even denied the origin of the problem. There is however a glimmer of hope. While the situation will obviously remain tense for a few months, the RTX 3070 seems to have benefited from a more favorable position in recent weeks.

NVIDIA RTX 3070 Founders Edition

Although we are not free of all constraints, our contacts at the main distributors tell us that the RTX 3070 is currently the reference that regularly arrives in stock. A major distributor has even ventured to give us a ratio: when 5x RTX 3090s arrive, we find 0x 3080, 0x 3060Ti and 100x 3070. It should be noted that Nvidia put back into circulation some RTX 3090 Founders Edition last week which means that chips have been released for partners on this reference as well.

RTX 3070: better on stocks, when better on prices?

Of course, these days we are satisfied with what we have and the RTX 3070 is still regularly out of stock. The regular delivery flow makes it relatively easy to find the card. But its availability remains on alternating current. A situation which means that demand is always much higher than supply. Under these conditions it is difficult to envisage any improvement in prices in the very short term.

Brands favor the most expensive models.

High prices that are also justified by the choices made by the brands. Because let’s not forget that the source of the worries is the supply of GPUs, which penalizes the brands at the first stage. Obviously the latter choose to favor their “bigger” customs models when it comes to producing cards. A situation that doesn’t help the situation but as we mentioned here some time ago, it is unfortunately a normal phenomenon. At the time of writing, our interlocutors at certain brands tell us that the situation will improve after the Chinese New Year. This traditional celebration causes a stoppage of activity in China every year for almost 15 days. This year, the Chinese New Year begins on the evening of 11 February.
