RTX 3080/3090 reference: a full nickel EKWB waterblock is coming!

RTX 3080/3090 reference: a full nickel EKWB waterblock is coming!

This time we go into the world of custom watercooling with the arrival of new waterblocks. Indeed, EKWB announces full cover blocks for the RTX 3080/3090 reference. The waterblock in question is none other than the EK-Quantum Vector RE!

RTX 3080/3090 reference: a waterblock EK-Quantum Vector for the cards of… Reference!

EKWB EK-Quantum Vector RTX 3080/3090 referenceAfter having tackled custom cards, EKWB now offers its waterblock for RTX using a reference PCB. This new model will be installed on RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 from nVidia.

In order to be installed on a maximum of cards, we find a thicker copper base of 11.2 mm. The goal is to be as quiet as possible with the capacitors that could cause problems.

Of course, it is a model that will directly cool the GPU, the memory chips and the VRMs of the cards. For the GPU, EKWB mentions a structure consisting of 27 micro-vanes of 0.5 mm wide offering little or no restriction to the flow.

The block is produced using a CNC machine for maximum precision. As for the materials, it’s simple, we have nickel-plated copper for the base. The top will be made of nickel-plated brass as well as the pre-installed spacers for the base.

In short, this model will be able to be installed on a package of cards using a reference PCB from nVidia. As an indication, this concerns no less than 25 cards such as the Palit GamingPro or the PNY XLR8.

The price will not be given since the block is announced at 210 € with an availability for mid-May once again.
