RTX 3080: first opinions from the community

The NDA for the RTX 3080 has just been lifted. The first advisories are starting to be broadcast. We invite you to express yourself here and give us your first feelings.

Preamble: no test here of the RTX 3080 Day 1

NO rtx3080

It is important to start by specifying that we will not publish today, a test of the RTX 3080. Nvidia has decided to select the media that can test its board. The brands, with whom we have an excellent relationship, have worked with their media list, under the watchful eye of Nvidia. In both cases, we were not part of it.

It is important for our community to understand that we are not in a race for free product delivered to the press. We had access, through our contacts, to an Ampere copy, probably one of the first in France and already for a while… The drivers being locked, it was impossible for us to test it except of course by revealing our source.

A complete test in the coming days

However, you have nothing to worry about. We are now working on a complete test including several cards. This test will be totally objective as we have no resentment or bitterness about this situation. Our main concern remains to stay as close as possible to our community. We will therefore do our utmost to inform you and share our opinions with you.

RTX 3080, the main elements expected

  • The RTX 3080 should allow the PC to enter massively into the 4K60FPS gaming era.
  • A significant gain in 1080P and 1440P is expected.
  • A democratization of Ray Tracing.
  • Quieter cards.

And you, members of the community, what do you expect, what are your first impressions of this card?

-> Your opinions, the reactions of the community: it’s happening here
