RTX 3080 Vision LHR: Gigabyte relaunches its card for creators!

RTX 3080 Vision LHR: Gigabyte relaunches its card for creators!

With its GPUs named “LHR”, NVIDIA offers chips with amputated mining capabilities. The goal behind this is to curb the demand of miners for consumer GPUs. Does it work? That’s not the point, as Gigabyte has just launched a new card. The card in question is the RTX 3080 Vision LHR. A version limited for mining.

RTX 3080 Vision LHR: an all white card for creators!

Gigabyte RTX 3080 Vision LHRIn itself, we don’t notice any big change from a visual point of view. Indeed, the card still has an imposing heatsink occupying at least three slots. Similarly, it has three fans, two of 90 mm and a third of 80 mm. They benefit from a semi-passive operation with an alternative rotation. Thus, the middle fan will not rotate in the same direction as the other two.

At the back, there is a very nice perforated backplate helping to dissipate the card. The backplate is perforated, which allows for better cooling thanks to a through-air flow.

Regarding the frequencies, the card runs at 1800 MHz in boost while a Founders Edition displays 1710 MHz in these conditions. Similarly, we will find 10 GB of GDDR6X with a memory bus of 320 bits clocked at 19 Gbps.

Finally, as far as connectivity is concerned, this model has two HDMI 2.1 outputs coupled with three DisplayPorts 1.4a. The power supply part is made up of 8-pin PCIe auxiliary connector.

In short, no drastic change with the first version released. The only difference is the presence of an LHR chip to slash the performance of the card in mining.

Here is the Gigabyte datasheet (rev. 2.0)!
