RTX deliveries: a tough January month

RTX deliveries: a tough January month

While we have seen a very relative easing in the deliveries of RTX 3070 cards, the situation on the rest of the references in the Nvidia range has been very difficult. The permanent break seems to be at the heart of all the ranges at Nvidia.

Not one chip delivered by Nvidia to the brands in January?

At home but also for the rest of the market, it seems that Nvidia’s partners have received very few chips to integrate graphic cards. So according to its sources, hardwaretimes, says that during the month of January, Nvidia’s major partners received almost no chips. The situation is even more critical on the RTX 3080 and 3090 because most of them would not even have received a single high-end graphics chip during the month. However, some 3090 reappeared, notably Founders Editions and some customs versions in Germany. A situation which could be explained by the fact that these products, which were leaving some time ago at excessive prices without raising eyebrows, are starting to stay a little longer in stock. A sign that buyers are beginning to be worn out by this situation. For the RTX 3070s, deliveries continue to be more fluid without being able to meet demand. The situation is particularly worrying for the 3060Ti. Volumes arrived a little before December… Since then, nothing significant has happened, the break is almost permanent on this flagship reference of Nvidia. Anne ma soeur Anne

No more “small” map on the horizon

The GTX 1660 and 1650 have now become rare commodities as well and prices have soared. According to our information, here too Nvidia no longer delivers chips to the brands, while the GTXs are not dependent on the Samsung 8nm manufacturing process like the Ampere generation. However, these cards have not switched to “end of life”. Nvidia rupture A certain amount of RTX 2060 ( in 12nm ) should arrive on the market in the next few days as we announced here but this operation is really punctual and will probably be fully absorbed by PC manufacturers. The potential availability of the RTX 3060 is also unclear. In any case, the price positioning of the card will not solve the problem of “low prices”. In the very short term, the Chinese New Year will further exacerbate tensions. Several logistics centers will be closed for 3 weeks. This means that major brands that receive drop shipments from Asia every week will have NOTHING to sell during these 3 weeks. Since the end of the year, most of the production of greens has been oriented towards laptops. No significant improvement is expected this quarter.
