RX 6600 Eagle: the card is displayed in Australia!

Gigabyte RX 6600 Eagle

On the agenda, the RX 6600 Eagle (non-XT) from Gigabyte makes its appearance at two Australian retailers. For the occasion, this version is equipped with a three-fan heatsink as well as the typical fairing of the cards in this generation.

Regarding the GPU, the card will have a cast Navi23 chip with 14% less SP than the XT version. This translates into 1792 SP instead of 2048 for the 6600 XT. Moreover, the amount of Infinity Cache does not evolve and we still find 32 MB. As for the memory, the vendors’ data sheets highlight models with 8 GB of GDDR6 at 16 Gbps. All this will be coupled with a 128-bit memory interface, which gives us a bandwidth of 256 GB/s.

Of course, the prices of $805.20AUD (without taxes) and $910.80AUD (with taxes) are just placeholders.

Indeed, these prices are higher than the XT version. These days, depending on the quantity available at launch, it would not be surprising to see prices explode. And speaking of quantity, the first rumors evoke stocks much lower than those of the XT version:

Finally, as stated in the tweets above, the launch should take place in October.
