RX 6800 XT Taichi: ASRock’s card is shown in picture!

This morning, we learn that a custom RX 6800 XT by ASRock has surfaced on the web. The pictures from VideoCardz show us an impressive card with an equally impressive cooling system. In short, let’s see how this RX 6800 XT Taichi looks like!

As can be seen, ASRock’s board is imposing and offers a massive heatsink. The latter offers three fans with a central mill highlighted by an illuminated “crown”. Speaking of lighting, our colleagues mention the presence of a DIP switch used to cut the RGB of the card. Interesting for those who don’t like disco PCs.

Otherwise, you will have to be careful about the free space inside the case. The card will occupy three expansion slots, while protruding from its PCIe bracket. And the length, better not to talk about it…

On the back is a very sad backplate. On it is an illuminated Taichi logo. It’s a pity that the brand did not keep the gears specific to the series, as on the RX 5700 XT Taichi for example.

We quickly finish with the on-board connections. ASRock provides two DisplayPort outputs, one HDMI and one USB Type C connector. The power supply part will be demanding since there are three 8-pin PCIe connectors. Finally, there are two bios that can be swapped using a button marked “P” and “Q”. Probably for “Performance” and “Quiet”.

As for availability, nothing is said, on the other hand, we expect a price higher than the $650 announced by AMD.
