RX 6900 XT Gaming OC : a first custom card at Gigabyte !

This morning, we are going to talk about graphics cards again with a new model by Gigabyte. Indeed, the brand announces its RX 6900 XT Gaming OC, a first custom card for the brand.

On the programme, the brand offers a card with an imposing heatsink… As more or less all the cards that are coming out at the moment, you will tell us. In short, here, the brand opts for a heatsink consisting of three 80 mm fans resting on a radiator divided into three blocks of fins. The whole being also crossed by six copper heat pipes. Contact with the GPU and memory will be ensured by a wide copper base.

The card benefits from a double bios which displays factory overclocked frequencies. These have a boost at 2285 MHz compared to 2250 MHz for the reference card. In addition, the power limit will be increased. Otherwise, we have a so-called “silent” profile with, possibly, a more restricted power limit for a less aggressive ventilation curve. But these are only suppositions.

As far as video outputs are concerned, there is not much to say except that the board has two HDMI 2.1 outputs and two DisplayPort 1.4a connectors. Here, we’ll skip a USB Type C connector for example. Finally, the power supply section offers three 8-pin PCIe connectors.

Once again, no price or availability date. On the other hand, we can expect a relatively affordable model given the type of card we’re dealing with here. This is a far cry from the heavily customized Aorus versions with a complex RGB-battered heatsink.

Here is the Gigabyte data sheet!
