OCC_FrTeam February 17, 2021 News This morning we learned that Western Digital is launching a new batch of SSDs. The manufacturer is launching its SN350, a series adopting the M.2 format and a PCIe 3.0 interface. In addition, the other feature of this series remains its advantageous price placement. SN350: an entry-level SSD series at Western Digital! This new series aligns a total of three SSDs with three different capacities. We find models in 240 GB, 480 GB and 960 GB for the largest. As we told you, we’re dealing with a range equipped with a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface. A DRAM cache is also present. Moreover, we have no information about the type of memory used, and the same goes for the controller. As far as throughput is concerned, the whole series displays a sequential reading of 2400 MB/s. On the write side, we have changes depending on the capacity. Thus, the 240 GB version displays 900 MB/s compared to 1650 MB/s for the 480 GB and 1900 MB/s for the 960 GB. So we quickly move on to selling prices which, as we said, remain affordable. Thus, the smallest model costs $43.99 while the 480 GB will cost $54.99. The 960 GB is more expensive at $99.99, but nothing insurmountable for SSD. Let’s say goodbye to the 3-year warranty! By here the technical data sheet of Western Digital ! Share On
