Some Nvidia CMP cards use Turing GPUs

When Nvidia announced the arrival on the market of its CMP solution dedicated to minors, its performance appealed to us…Like you. Obviously, the results were not up to the level of the RTX 30 and this raised real questions about the impact of these cards on the current RTX market. Indeed, the arrival of the CMP 30HX / 40HX is supposed to reduce speculation on cards logically dedicated to gaming. The release of the GeForce 461.72 WHQL graphics drivers provides more information as it not only supports the RTX 3060, but also the CMP 30HX and CMP 40HX solutions. Thanks to the code discovered in the drivers, we can now confirm that the Nvidia CMP 40HX card uses a custom TU106 GPU (GeForce RTX 2060 / SUPER and GeForce RTX 2070 Mobile) manufactured in 12 nm by TMSC. As for the CMP 30HX, it uses a custom TU116 GPU (GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER / GTX 1660 / GTX 1660 SUPER). Nvidia CMP HX This is clearly a good solution so that these cards do not affect the availability of Ampere GPUs, Nvidia confirmed this information. However, the Nvidia CMP 90HX and 50HX should use Ampere GPUs from Samsung with 8nm burn-in. Although these models are not expected to be available before April, it seems obvious that they too will disrupt the production line of GPUs dedicated to the RTX 30. Unless by then Nvidia and its partner Samsung discover a miracle solution to mass produce and wipe out the huge queues on the market. We can still dream.
