The drives are all acting as the source and destination for the files to create a demanding scenario. When encoding video with the Core-i7 975 CPU we can see that there is a noticeable increase in performance when moving from a fast mechanical drive to a SSD. Each of the models tested was able to outperform the Western Digital RaptorX with the largest gap being 1 minute 5 seconds on the Corsair P128.
