The characteristics of the next AMD EPYC Milan-X revealed

Before the arrival of Zen 4 to animate their next generations of processors, AMD should launch the EPYC processors equipped with 3D V-Cache at the end of the year.

Thanks to the twittos @ExecuFix who shared a lot of information about AMD in the past and revealed the existence of Milan-X, this time it returns with the characteristics of 4 EPYCs equipped all four with 3D V-Cache technology, which should bring a non-negligible gain in performance, all without the need for a whole new architecture.

At first glance, there would be no difference in the characteristics of its Milan-X compared to the Milan processors, with an identical number of cores, TDP and frequency with a maximum of 64 cores contained in 280W of TDP. But where the Milan EPYCs go up to 256 MB of L3 cache, the Milan-X range would use 3 times more cache with a total of 768 MB.
