Thor series: a series of three keyboards (and a bit of déjà vu) from Genesis

This morning, while combing through our sources, we came across a series of three keyboards signed Genesis. The range in question is the Thor series and offers models 380, 400 and 401. The program is the same three times, but with different switches. And yes, we’re dealing with a mechanical keyboard!

Thor series, like an air of déjà-vu don’t you think?

Genesis Thor Series

With this series, the manufacturer offers us sober keyboards with rounded lines. With their low profile keycaps, their adjustment wheel, the aluminum plate as well as their low height of 34 mm, the design seems directly inspired by the Vulcan series from Roccat.

Besides that, the brand is supplied by Outemu and Kailh for the switches. Thus, the 380 has blue Outemu switches, the same supplier as for the Millenium Touch 2 Mini keyboard that we tested here. Otherwise, the 400 and 401 models have respectively red and brown Kailh switches for a linear and tactile feeling without audible click.

Otherwise, the brand positions its keyboard as a gaming model by offering the N-Key Rollover or a complete anti-ghosting. Similarly, we will have the right to an integrated memory for saving lighting profiles and macros. Of course, the setting of all this will be done via the software of the brand.

Finally, whatever the model of this series, we have the right to a detachable wrist rest. The same goes for the multimedia functions doubled on the function keys or the large wheel for managing the audio and lighting intensity.

Finally, it would be interesting to know the price of the keyboards in this series. Considering the number of switches, it could be very interesting!

By here, hereor here genesis datasheets!
