ToughRAM XG: Thermaltake doubles the capacity of its RAM modules

ToughRAM XG: Thermaltake doubles the capacity of its RAM modules

A few months ago, Thermaltake launched new memory kits on the market. Indeed, last March, the ToughRAM XG landed with 8GB modules. However, if you needed a large capacity, you were limited to a maximum of 32GB (with four RAM ports). Well, good news as the brand is increasing the capacity of its modules to 16GB!

ToughRAM XG: 32GB and 64GB kits!

Thermaltake Toughram XG RGB

As we can see, this RAM exploits a two-tone heatsink offering a matte or checkered finish. We even have a central part with a mirror effect with its chrome part. We can’t miss the RGB lighting on the top of the strips either. This one totals 16 addressable diodes!

But what interests us are the characteristics of these new kits. Thus, the brand announces sets in 32 GB and 64 GB displaying frequencies of 3600 MHz and 4000 MHz. At 3600 MHz we have timings of 18-19-19-39 and 19-23-23-42 at 4000 MHz.

Finally, we know that the brand operates a 10-layer PCB with 2 ounces of copper and 10µ gold connectors. Finally, thanks to our test, we also know that DJR memory chips are at work. At the moment we don’t know when these modules will be released, nor at what price!

This way to the Thermaltake datasheet (8GB modules) !
