TX700 & TX500: Silverstone power supplies in TFX format!

We stay at Silverstone who announce the arrival of new power supplies. Indeed, the brand offers its TX700 and TX500, power supplies in TFX format, an unusual format. Moreover, this type of power supply is used in pre-built PCs such as the Dell Optilex for example.

TX700 and TX500: high-power TFX power supplies!

Silverstone TX700

In the program, the brand offers two power supplies with power ratings of 500W and 700W. The certification is not to be outdone as the blocks are 80+ Gold certified.

Considering the format, cooling will be provided by a very small 80mm fan. Moreover, don’t panic, the brand announces that it will be silent in use, phew!

As far as the electrical aspect is concerned, there is no need to panic as all the protections are present. There are OCP, OPP, OVP, SCP, UVP and OTP. Broadly speaking, it is a question of protection against overcurrents, undervoltage, short circuit and overheating (in the broadest sense). A single 12V rail is also in use. The last one has an amperage of 58.3A for the 700W block against 41.6A for the 500W block.

Finally, as far as the cables are concerned, the brand makes available :

  • TX500 :
    • 1x ATX 24-pin
    • 1x EPS12V 4+4 pins
    • 2x PCIe 6+2 pins
    • 4x SATA
    • 4x Molex
    • 1x Floppy
  • TX700 :
    • 1x ATX 24-pin
    • 1x EPS12V 4+4-pin + 1x EPS12V 8-pin
    • 4x PCIe 6+2 pin
    • 4x SATA
    • 4x Molex
    • 1x Floppy

As far as pricing is concerned, once again, you will have to be patient. However, we know that availability will be effective at the end of January in Europe.
