UL551 : a basic but neat top-flow cooling unit from DeepCool !

This morning, we go to DeepCool which announces a new ventirad… Well, two new products. You will see, these two models are identical, just the destination platform that changes. In short, here is the UL551 for the Intel side and the UD551 for AMD.

UL551: top flow without heatpipes!

DeepCool UL551From a visual point of view, the DeepCool heatsink is rather neat. We can see the presence of an anodization on the whole aluminum block. Similarly, the fan is black with a ring including an RGB border. In any case, on the visuals, it looks good.

Of course, this type of heatsink is extremely simple since we have fins directly machined in the mass. No heatpipes, no copper base, no copper at all.

The ventilation is provided by a fan positioned above this aluminum structure. This model will rotate from 500 RPM to 1800 RPM and will generate an airflow of 44.31 CFM at full speed. Concerning the static pressure, the brand mentions 1,65 mmAq.

Regarding the dimensions, you should know that this model displays 136 mm of side for a height of 71 mm for the Intel version. The AMD model will be a little more compact: 69 mm high and therefore a little lighter: 378 g against 412 g.

For compatible sockets, you will not be able to install this type of heatsink on high-end platforms. Thus, the LGA-2000 and the TR4 (and derivatives) from AMD are not compatible.

As for the bill, it is very sweet since this model is announced for about fifteen dollars.

Here is the DeepCool datasheet!
