VP4300: Patriot SSD capable of writing at 4800 MB/s

Patriot has announced a new series of SSDs. The new range in question is none other than the VP4300, which comes out one month after the P300 in PCIe 3.0. There, with this new batch, we go up in range with PCIe 4.0 and higher speeds!

VP4300: PCIe 4.0 SSDs writing up to 4.8 GB/s!

Patriot VP4300With this 4300 model, the brand actually offers us two SSDs, the first of 1TB and the second of 2TB. These two products have a classic M.2 2280 format and come with two different heatsinks. Indeed, we have one thicker than the other depending on whether we install the SSD in a laptop or not.

Internally, we find NAND memory type 3D TLC coupled with a DRAM cache in DDR4. Finally, an Innogrit IG5236 PCIe 4.0 x4 controller orchestrates all this!

In terms of performance, we have throughputs worthy of a PCIe 4.0 SSD. For example, sequential read/write speeds reach 7400MB/s – 6800MB/s. In terms of random performance, we have 800k IOPS in both read and write, regardless of the capacity of the SSD.

We’ll finish quickly by mentioning the prices of these models. At the store the brand, we have a 1TB version listed at $260.99 against $517.99 for the 2TB. Finally, the warranty is 5 years!

Here is the Patriot datasheet!
