Will the RTX 3080 Ti ever be released?

There are some cards that we talk about a lot without seeing them. The RTX 3080 Ti is one of them. In any case, these days, the mention of new cards is more likely to annoy potential customers than to relax them.

The 3080 Ti and also the 3070 Ti (or Super?) would however be answers to the availability problem by integrating an anti-crypto clamp that is supposed to keep these cards away from the speculation caused by the evil miners.

But for once, ITHome seems to have been able to get hold of an internal note from Nvidia mentioning a launch date postponed by one month. We will therefore only see this card during the month of May and its launch could be in the company of the 3070Ti.

Basically, we all know that minors are not the real cause of the lack of graphics cards on the market

The problem is that not a week goes by without us hearing a rumor or a leak about this possible NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti.

Nvidia RTX 3080Ti

Theoretical characteristics of the 3080Ti according to Videocardz

Currently the Ampere gamma consists of 3 “basic” GPUs: the GA102, GA104 and GA106. The shortage mainly affects the “big” GPUs RTX 3090, 3080 and even 3070. It seems that the problems on the RTX 3060Ti are also caused by Nvidia’s desire to limit the availability of this card that became the darling of miners since its release…Because it is a music that comes back regularly: the cause of shortages is essentially caused by mining. The raw truth in any case is that these GPUs are not delivered in sufficient quantities, as Asus has again pointed out in recent hours.

Even though we recently mentioned the possibility of Nvidia showing off its new card during GTC 2021, many of you have pointed out that NVIDIA historically never unveils products like GeForce during GTC. Whether the Chameleon decides to launch a new card in April, May, or on St. Glinglin’s Day, it won’t change the equation: the products won’t be available in sufficient volume, and the price hike will continue to strain and annoy even the most docile customer in the world. Rupture Nvidia

Without availability, marketing is nothing

It will be difficult to make Nvidia (and others) understand that the consequences of this situation could pay off later. Launches with disconnected prices, tests with unavailable cards, “influencers” playing with cards that real enthusiasts can’t get…All this will leave its mark on the market…Imminently.

So we’ll wait for the next rumor…
