X370: Ryzen 5000 supported via beta BIOS at ASRock!

Let’s be clear from the start, what follows has not been developed in an official way. Indeed, the beta bios we are talking about here are bootlegs. They allow, among other things, some X370 ASRock references to be compatible with Ryzen 5000.

X370 : some ASRock motherboards are Ryzen 5000 compatible in an unofficial way !

ASRock X370 support Ryzen 500

When they were released, AMD Ryzen 5000 processors were not intended to be compatible with the first AM4 chipsets. Indeed, it was not planned that the A320, B350 and X370 boards would support this latest generation of CPUs. However, the HKEPC site has received a series of unofficial beta bios to make this possible. These bios allow to make some cards compatible. This list extends to six X370 cards:

  • Taichi
  • Professional Gaming
  • Killer SLI AC
  • Killer SLI
  • Gaming X
  • Gaming K4

In addition to making these older generation cards compatible with the new Ryzen, they fix bugs in the latest official bios. Apparently, according to our colleagues the latter allow to use a Ryzen 5000 in a normal way. By the way, if you want to test them, you can download them via the link below. Of course, all this will be at your own risk, we can not be held responsible for any damage to your equipment.

If you own one of these cards, it might be a good idea to try it if you are planning to upgrade to a Ryzen 5000. The operation could save you a new motherboard!
