Corsair Vengeance

Some months back, for the first time in years, Corsair released a major memory product which was not Dominator branded. These sticks, part of the new Vengeance family of memory, arrive in a box which shows a clear picture of how the modules look. Turning the box over we get a little blurb about the heatsink design, a note that the sticks have a lifetime warranty and we can see the part number stickers through a set of small windows.

Corsair build the Vengeance modules on a green PCB and attach a black extended height heatsink to each side of the sticks. These heatsinks are joined at the centre by a sticker which shows the brand name and are held onto the modules by a sticky thermal pad and two clips at the end of the sticks. Corsair place a part number sticker in the centre of the heatsinks and these tell is that each module contains 4GB of memory which will run at 1600MHz using 9-9-9-24 timings and 1.5v.

Corsair have SPD and X.M.P. programmed the modules with the latter giving us the advertised settings on a 2T command rate.

Finally, Corsair offer single, dual and triple channel Vengeance kits with CAS 8 and 9 speeds.
