In this test we have aimed for some pretty lofty settings to really stress the cards and find out if it is possible to play World in Conflict on a mainstream card at 1280×720 with the majority of effects enabled. Anti-aliasing was set at off and once again 16x anisotropic filtering was used.  Detail level was set to High.

Those of you who have read through each page of this review will have noticed that there is a trend beginning to show. That is the performance of the 3850 being very competitive when we do not apply anti-aliasing to games. Generally in that scenario the 3850 is equal to, if not better than the 8800 GS and the World in Conflict results demonstrate this as well as any other game. In each of the measured statistics the Radeon is a few frames per second faster than the GeForce. It is also worth noting that neither card would be able to run at higher detail than that used in our tests.
